Consortium “Geostroytechmin” (Geostroy and Geotechmin) has started the implementation of the project “Wastewater treatment plant for potable waters, Alpine water intake and reconstruction of the water supply system in Barzia village, Berkovitsa municipality”.

On 25.09.2013 a symbolic sod-turning ceremony and official inauguration of the project took place in Ravnishte upland near the village of Barzia. The project is intended to improve access to quality water supply and sewerage infrastructure in Berkovitsa municipality.
The project consists of two sections: wastewater treatment plant for potable waters and outdoor water-conduit for Alpine water intake. The facility is being constructed with the financial support of the State Fund Agriculture, Measure 321 “Basic services for the population and the economy in rural areas” under the Rural Development Programme 2007 - 2013.

The project implementation period is 85 calendar days.
