On 10 May, the Managing Board of the Scientific and Technical Union of Mining, Geology and Metallurgy (STU of MGM) elected PhD Eng. Vladimir Vutov as Deputy Chairman. He takes over this position for a four-year term. Previously, from March 2015 to 10 May 2019, he had been a member of the Managing Board of the organization as a representative of Geostroy AD.

In its 54-year history, STU of MGM has won recognition as a purpose-driven organization successfully uniting the missions of education, science and business. This strategy has been the foundation of numerous thriving initiatives and future endeavours. The Union will continue to maintain a high scientific level, bringing together science and business in the sphere of mining and metallurgy and strengthening the reputation of the scientific community in Bulgaria and abroad.
