Reconstruction and general overhaul of Chemist Cultural Centre in the town of Dimitrovgrad
Geostroy completed the restoration and major repair of Chemist Cultural Centre with a total floorage area of 3,800 m2 and the surrounding green park area in the town of Dimitrovgrad. The building is part of the immovable urban cultural heritage – 3rd March Square Ensemble.
The completed works include restoration and interior renovation of the building while preserving the original layout and functional purpose of the premises. The existing indoor cinema was transformed into a state-of-the-art multipurpose hall for theatrical performances, concerts and conferences. Furthermore, the music hall and the library were entirely renovated. The lobby and the corridors were refurbished and modernised. The sculpture above the main entrance was restored.
New fire alarm and emergency warning systems, as well as central heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, were installed. The entire water supply and sewerage network was replaced and all floorings in the building were renovated.
The project was implemented under Operational Programme Regions in Growth 2014 - 2020.
