may 2025
Geostroy AD, part of GEOTECHMIN GROUP, celebrated the successful completion of dual vocational training to students from Zlatitsa Vocational High School in the town of Zlatitsa. In the course of two years, students majoring in Motor Transport Equipment studied the profession in a real work environment under the guidance of qualified mentors from Geostroy. Desislava Toncheva and Tsvetina Chipeva, representatives of the Human Resources Department at Geostroy, congratulated the students on their diligence and responsibility during the internship.
‘I am extremely pleased that Geostroy took its role in the dual education project so seriously. Providing students with the opportunity to learn in a real work environment while gaining practical knowledge in their chosen profession is incredibly valuable. I also greatly appreciate how well the students were treated and the soft skills they developed during their time here. Thanks to the guidance of their mentors and managers, they learned how to collaborate effectively as part of a team. Moreover, through this dual training model, the students gained essential work experience – a significant asset, especially since it is something every employer seeks,’ commented Velichka Balanova, Principal of Zlatitsa Vocational High School.
Ivaylo Bobakov and Martin Petrov, members of the second batch of students, spoke highly of their internship at Geostroy and expressed a strong interest in continuing to work for the company. They encouraged future graduates of Zlatitsa Vocational High School to consider the dual education programme and pursue an internship at Geostroy. ‘The team I worked with consists of exceptional professionals. The facilities are excellent and I would be happy to stay and work here,’ said Ivaylo.
Dual vocational education enables students at professional high schools to combine classroom-based learning with practical, on-the-job training in a company. In the first two years, they focus on acquiring theoretical knowledge, while in the 11th and 12th grades their education is split between school and a partner company.
Along with Geostroy, Ellatzite-Med also takes part in the dual education project, which forms part of GEOTECHMIN GROUP’s corporate social responsibility efforts. The project offers young people valuable opportunities for development, helps expand their knowledge and supports a successful start to their careers.
