The European Digital Innovation Hub in Construction Sector Association (EDIH), in which Geostroy is one of the founders, will start providing specialized digital upskilling trainings for builders, engineers and architects. The courses are focused on integrating building information models (BIM) with geographic information systems (GIS), various types of software programs and tools for architecture, engineering, and construction professionals. Furthermore, specialized training courses will be conducted to teach non-destructive testing techniques for inspecting materials and structures, and integration of innovative technologies. Along their digital transformation journey, the companies in the construction sector will also be offered a set of services including digital maturity assessment, pre-investment testing services, acceleration and access to financing, as well as opportunities to participate in international networking events, such as trade shows, conferences, workshops, webinars, etc.

Besides Geostroy, the hub includes the Bulgarian Construction Chamber, the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, the Higher School of Civil Engineering “Lyuben Karavelov”, the Institute of Mechanics – BAS, the Bulgarian Association for Construction Project Management, Planex Ltd, Cleantech Bulgaria, Esri Bulgaria, and Baumit Bulgaria. Geostroy will conduct a drone surveying training course with a focus on drone mapping, land surveying, investigation and monitoring.

All training courses and services will be provided to the companies free of charge through the State Aid Scheme under Article 28 - Innovation aid for SMEs of the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER).
