Best Builder Award and Special Prize for Overall Contribution

Geostroy AD gained two awards on the occasion of Builder’s Day, which made the company’s team and GEOTECHMIN GROUP extremely proud.

On 31 October 2019, Geostroy AD was announced as the winner of Best Builder Competition for the territory of Sofia City Province. Traditionally, the competition was held by the Regional Office of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber in Sofia (RO of BCC – Sofia) around St Demetrius’ Day – Builder’s Day, bringing together its members, partners and guests. This year an authoritative jury chaired by Academician Yachko Ivanov ranked the companies on the basis of their revenue, tangible fixed assets, number of staff, and other important criteria.

‘You are the ones who are changing our country for it to have a European appearance and the living environment to become better…,’ said M.Eng. Valentin Yovev, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works in his congratulatory speech to the industry representatives attending the awards ceremony. He bestowed the Grand Award on Geostroy AD represented by Mr Dominic Hamers in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company.

On the occasion of St Demetrius’ Day, Geostroy AD was also awarded the Special Prize of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber for overall contribution to the construction sector. The prize was given at the Annual Ball on Builder’s Day, 24 October 2019. The award is bestowed on companies listed in the Central Professional Register of Builders which had won gold awards for best construction practices in two consecutive years preceding the year 2019.

Mr Dominic Hamers thanked on behalf of PhD Eng. Vladimir Vutov and the management teams of Geotechmin OOD and Geostroy AD to everyone who had contributed to winning these high honours. ‘We are so grateful to Geostroy’s team for their professionalism and high quality projects,’ emphasized Mr Hamers.
